Head Start Curriculum Matrix

No one has the time to teach one more thing! That's why we have made sure that the suggested activities and materials within Building Blocks for a Healthy Future not only reinforce preventive factors but also fit within your curriculum—whether the activities are completed at school or at home.

We have aligned each product with the Head Start Child Outcomes Framework, matching major elements within each domain:

The matrix is simple to use. If you have a particular domain/element that you'd like to address, find it in the matrix, then look across the row to find which products and activities will support what you need to do. Either way, it's easy and the matrix helps you to keep track of your curriculum content and the many ways these activities interconnect other content and skills.
